Goat yoga was created in 2016 by Lainey Morse, a farm owner in Albany, Oregon, following her diagnosis with an autoimmune disease and during a divorce. Morse had been hosting informal “Goat Happy Hour” gatherings on her farm, where visitors spent time with her six goats as a form of stress relief.
